For a long time, I’d been completely enslaved, and the worst part was that I wasn’t even aware of it: I thought my life had all the meaning I’d been looking for, 𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚.
Not because someone had tricked me, but because I hadn’t been honest with myself. It’s a strange feeling because while you’re in that bubble of the comfort zone, you can’t tell that you’re not using all of your energy or, on the other hand, that you feel calm and good but not full of life.
“Get up! No longer be a living lie.”
– Anjali
And when vitality truly arrives… It turns out that you discover yourself, and then you see how positive energy manifests itself in everything you do or every event that occurs to you. Self-esteem appears to be returning to its proper place, and dreams and goals seem to be getting closer.
You Can Be What You Want
Being what you want to always costs a little more than being what you can be. While this may seem like a tongue twister, it is a resounding certainty: society’s continuing lack of respect or tolerance makes it difficult for us to open ourselves to the world.
However, never forget that all of this can only harm you if you give it the authority to do so: act as you feel, as long as you also respect the other person and set aside all the obstacles that put you or yourself in the way of not doing it.
You are closer to power than you realize. If you are in a situation where you are not even aware that you are not entirely yourself, it may be time to bring it up with yourself gradually. Maybe you’ll find some serendipity that will bring even more happiness.

How to Reinvent Yourself?
So you don’t need to travel to Paris or Tibet to reinvent yourself. Every action, every success, every failure, every interest, every bit of knowledge, and every bit of wisdom we assume brings us closer to who we really are.
Listen to yourself, get to know yourself, understand that you do not need a company that complements you, be aware of your flaws and virtues, recognize what bothers you and what you enjoy, check errors, and relativize damage.
In short, organize your time and investigate self-awareness. Instead of going far to find yourself, stay close and reinvent yourself.
The entire circle surrounding your life will change when you realize you are who you always wanted to be. You will smile more, the challenges will be more accessible, and the small things will no longer go unnoticed.
As a result, I urge you to stop looking in the wrong place so that you can stumble upon your truth rather than the costly accident of wasting your time.

Look For Your Best Version
It’s not bad luck that makes life unbearable; it’s not even dire circumstances. Having something to work toward, something to dream about, something to yearn for… these are the true ingredients in the recipe for success and fulfilment in life.
But there is one thing we must be clear about. Reinventing oneself is not easy; it requires a certain amount of challenge and courage.
Life is movement, and whether we like it or not, the changes help us survive better so that everything makes sense.

If you want to find happiness and contentment in life, you have to push yourself out of your comfort zones, and one way to do that is through reinvention.
Try imagining your ideal self and basing your actions on that vision.

I feel with each day we reinvent ourselves as we realise our negatives and positives. And eventually we figure out who we want to be. I so resonate with your post.
Many of us unknowingly happen to be a part of this situation, its not that we are not aware its just that we don’t wanna face it.
Coming out of the comfort zone and actually being your best version requires a lot of courage and the society always pushes us back. Trying to be our own best version is the biggest challenge we face and just to realize that we are not what we want to be but what we have been forced to become is in itself a motivation for us.
Be as your best version is not an easy but many of us don’t want to reinvent in ourself. This most important that you go through your life and yourself and learn many things with positivity .
I wish I knew this before, Anjali. At 59 i have just started implementing these traits. And it is so difficult to get rid of years of habit forming and conditioning. I am discovering myself now and even went for a ramp walk in January . It is very liberating.
That’s great, ma’am… I would love to read your post on that.
With time we realize the hidden qualities within us. What I believe if we have the urge to do better in life then we will reinvent the possibilities that can help us to come out with more flying colors in lives. I realized I can write after so many years of time when I was working, I can conduct programs and be a creative persona that I invented when I was already into writing world. Self love and the urge to do something different which I believe can get the most out of life.
There are some things about your post that hit a raw spot Anjali and I agree with it fundamentally… but I’m also the kind of person who becomes happy with little things n I feel as we grow older, we reinvent ourselves in many aspects. Our outlook, perceptions, thoughts, judgements everything takes a 360 ° turn with age and we become better in many ways. Reinventing is a positive thing but I believe it is an ongoing process and cannot happen over night.
Nicely penned. As they say change is the only constant on life. We must adapt to this change if we need to go with the flow & survive
Your post left me introspecting for a long time. Even I am living a lie. I try to push myself everyday and do what I feel I should, to make others happy. Somedays I succeed in tricking myself, somedays I am an emotional wreck. Really need to work on this.
Was doubtful about myself and your post came like a saviour. It is not about where we go on a trip it is about the peace we experience within that makes the difference
Absolutely Anjali. We need the intent to re-invent ourselves. No external factor can help until we are completely invested in it. Or we continue to be in the cycle of uncomfortably comfortable.
Lovely summation of how to improve our life quality to get the most out of life. All the methods listed are simple and easily doable and will surely make life so much more happier.
It’s sometimes funny to think about how easy that can be done for us to get what we want out of life and yet, when it comes to applying it to real life, we would always have a lot of excuses to not do things…and of course, complain of not being able to have a good life. How ironic, isn’t it?!
That’s my mantra for this year too and I’m slowly getting there.
This is such a timely post for me because I have been going through a crisis of self lately- thanks so much for sharing this, really helped me feel better today
Lovely post. There is no age to reinvent yourself. I feel when you want to do something, just go for it.
What a lovely post. I could really resonate with it.
